Every educator who completes The Comix Method Certification holds a respected place within our teaching community. Each certification title represents an educator’s level of engagement with the program’s evolving philosophy and continued education opportunities.
Active Practitioner: Who you are
You actively embody The Comix Method. You use it in class, adapt with its updates, and stay connected to its evolving practice.

Achieved by: Completing The Comix Method Certification Course. Maintained for 3 years without additional effort needed.
Title Renewal: Maintain an active Comix Method: Resources subscription *or* take the most recent "Comix Method Method Renewal Module" course
Cost: Initial certification course registration plus renewal options. The Comix Method Resources subscription cost is always 50% of the normal fee for ANY certified educator. The current Renewal Module course is $99.
What It Means: The title of "Active Practitioner" is automatically achieved when you pass the certification course. Your title of "active" remains in place for 3 years following your course completion. After 3 years, you may maintain active status by keeping your Comix Method Resources subscription or by taking a renewal module. A renewal module is a shorter course and test that will focus on updated Comix Method concepts and major focus points within the latest iteration of the course. This it to maintain the standard that "active" means "still in the know" regarding practices of The Comix Method.
Ideal For: Teachers that want consistent help and/or want to represent The Comix Method in a significant capacity in their classroom.

Achieved by: Completing The Comix Method Certification Course
Title Renewal: No renewal needed. One time purchase allows a lifetime title.
Cost: Only the cost of initial course registration.
What It Means: All educators who pass the course are automatically considered "active practitioners". For educators who just want the initial course material, their "active" status will expire automatically after 3 years. From there, educators can use their "Comix Method Certified" title and knowledge to any extent they wish. Certified members receive an official certificate to proudly display their commitment to the teaching method. Even without renewal of the active status, this certification demonstrates a strong value for Hip Hop authenticity and education.
Ideal For: Teachers who want to gain certification in a Hip Hop education method and intend to use the teachings as a reference point, class model, or more.

Achieved by: Completing The Comix Method Certification Course, maintaining "active" status through renewal modules, & submitting for a Master Educator Project Based Evaluation.
Title Renewal: Once evaluated and passed, the educator must only maintain the title by continuing "active" status through modules.
Cost: Initial cost of registration, cost of active status, and $499(one time fee) for Master Educator Evaluation.
What It Means: Some educators choose to go beyond certification and demonstrate full mastery of The Comix Method as official representatives of its standards. While the course is open to all and never pressures teachers to adopt the method beyond reference, those seeking to align fully with its highest standards can pursue the title of Master Educator.
Candidates complete an evaluation project tailored to their classroom strengths. This ensures they uphold the same quality and values that define The Comix Method. Because course creator John Comix personally vouches for each Master Educator, the process is rigorous and may take time, but the fee is paid once, and progress continues through feedback until mastery is achieved. There’s no time limit.
**Master Educators are also featured on a recommendation list shared with studios, conventions, & organizations seeking authentic Hip Hop.
Ideal For: Teachers that wish to act as a representative and/or a trusted individual with The Comix Method at dance studios, institutions, events, and other educational endeavors.
